DFM smart fortwo’s are tops for pizzas

Daimler Fleet Management is supplying Tops Pizza franchise delivery outlets with smart cars for pizza deliveries in London and the Home Counties.
Stylish smart fortwos in Tops Pizza livery, acquired through Daimler Fleet Management (DFM), are delivering pizzas from several of the company’s franchise outlets, with plans to build the fleet to cover all 29 stores across London and the South East by the end of 2006. Tops Pizza also thinks it likely that some franchisees may take more than one smart to cope with the high volume of home deliveries undertaken by this popular food group.
Tops Pizza has built a familiar presence in the areas covered by its outlets and believes that a smart fortwo featuring company colours and top hat logo can only enhance this. Managing Director Ali Yasdi said that Tops Pizza was attracted by smart fortwos because they are memorable and therefore an excellent marketing tool for each franchisee in the area they cover. He also adds that they are ideal for driving and parking in an urban environment as well as being safer than motorbikes in today’s traffic conditions.
DFM provides funding options on vehicles from all leading manufacturers and has a reputation for providing top quality service to fleets of all sizes. “DFM demonstrated that they understand the needs of our business and have supported us throughout the transaction with service of the highest quality,” Ali Yasdi commented. “We are delighted with the six vehicles recently obtained for our franchisees and our head office and look forward to receiving further deliveries that are currently in the pipeline.”
The smart fortwos, funded by DFM on two-year contract hire agreements with full maintenance, are being supplied by the Mercedes-Benz Edmonton dealership. They are currently being used at the Tops Pizza head office in Hounslow and at franchise outlets in Ewell, Fulham, Kingston-upon-Thames, Slough and St Albans.
