Hassle free service booking from DFM

Daimler Fleet Management has introduced Service Booking for customers using a nationwide network of approximately 2,000 suppliers.
By dialling a dedicated 0800 number, company drivers in the fleets of Daimler Fleet Management (DFM) customers can now book in their vehicles for servicing with one of DFM’s preferred dealers close to the locality of their choice.
DFM, which provides funding and management solutions for all makes of vehicle from every leading manufacturer, launched this new Service Booking facility at the end of January. The service, which is managed by RAC Business Solutions, involves approximately 2,000 servicing and maintenance suppliers. Bookings are handled by trained operators, who will pass on any specific concerns the driver may have about the vehicle’s performance to the dealer concerned.
The process normally only takes a matter of minutes to make a booking and confirmation is provided by phone, fax, email or SMS. Service Booking is not only reactive, offering immediate response to customer requests, but also proactive, in that it automatically reminds companies when a scheduled service or MOT is due on any given vehicle.

Service Booking is an extension of the existing One Link electronic work authorisation platform that has been in operation since March 2004, linking the DFM maintenance team with repair dealerships for the rapid booking of servicing and maintenance. This operation, together with breakdown management, 24/7accident management and windscreen supply service has been integrated into the new one-stop-shop Service Booking facility.
