Roman tests the water with new Passats through DFM
June 2005
The Roman fleet takes delivery of VW Passats, supplied on contract hire through Daimler Fleet Management.
Roman Ltd, the leading volume shower manufacturer in the UK, has selected the VW Passat for its team of retail development managers. Acquired through Daimler Fleet Management (DFM), the vehicles are funded via 3-year contract hire with full maintenance agreements.
This is the first time that Roman has opted for contract hire, having previously purchased its fleet outright and was attracted to this funding option for a number reasons, not least the reduction in the administration burden that it offers. Mike Spink, Transport Manager for Roman Ltd, commented: “It’s great to be able to reward our staff with this brand new fleet of cars. DFM will handle all the fleet needs of our retail development managers, throughout the country, and we will receive just one invoice to process each month.
“As well as offering competitive pricing,” Mike Spink added, “ DFM offered us over and above our expectations in terms of high quality personal service.”
Roman’s retail development managers have recently been successful in raising awareness of the company’s new range of shower enclosures and were rewarded with the upgrade to the Passats which were supplied by Benfield Motors of Gateshead.
DFM, utilises its all-makes vehicle expertise and financial proficiency to design individual solutions for corporate customers based on in-depth fleet analysis and consultation. This consultative approach is pivotal to DFM’s success in the fleet management sector.
